Typical stone farmhouse built around an ancient 1200 sighting tower, with swimming pool and framed by a large park and woodland.
Imagine wandering through the Chianti area with its gentle hills covered with vineyards, olive trees and tall cypress trees. Once you arrive in a small town, imagine yourself diverting along a small, slightly uphill, partly unpaved road and starting to enter the countryside. As you go along the little road, imagine meeting lavender bushes (a swarm of butterflies), boxwood hedges of intense green and then ever taller and thicker trees until they form a wood. Imagine arriving in an open space, very large and from here you can see a small group of farmhouses, close together, all in stone.
Close your eyes, listen to the scents and sounds of the countryside. There! You have arrived in this little corner of paradise ...
The main nucleus of this farmhouse dates back to the 1200, as an ancient sighting tower that marked the border between the territory of Fiorenza and Siena, as a post station where the horses of the travelers and messengers were exchanged and where they could refresh and refresh.
Around this ancient tower still well visible, in the following ages some additions were made which gave the farmhouse its current appearance. Currently there are two main buildings close together and a barn slightly detached from these, in the middle the swimming pool surrounded by the solarium and the flat part of the land. Behind the buildings there is the forest, to protect and shelter this gem of the Chianti countryside.
The main farmhouse is divided into 7 apartments for a total of approximately 30 beds. Each apartment has one or two bedrooms and is equipped with its own bathroom and kitchen, as well as a private outdoor space to enjoy peace and quiet in complete tranquility. On the ground floor of this building we find the "tinaia" characterized by the typical ceiling sometimes finished in bricks. Adjacent to the main building but slightly detached from it, another smaller building characterized by a large covered loggia where it is possible to spend afternoons and evenings in company, where there are various covered technical spaces. The third building, which was once the barn, appears to be detached from the other buildings, has a large loggia in front and is on two levels, a large room that acts as a living area on the main level with the roof supported by wooden trusses, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms on the other level, the one in the sleeping area.
The farmhouse is immersed in about 20 hectares of land owned, of which a good part is in the woods. The part of the land closest to the buildings is flat and lends itself to being used as land to cultivate or to build a soccer field or tennis court for guests. In the area sheltered from the buildings, in order to guarantee privacy, there is the rectangular shaped pool that measures 12 x 6 mt. surrounded by the solarium lined with imperial quartzite that offers the advantage of never becoming too hot, even on the hottest days.
The part of the land closest to the house of around 5.000 sqm is surrounded by an electrified fence that guarantees greater security. The paths that surround the house allow you to go hiking and walking in the woods and in the surrounding countryside.
Condition and finishes
The renovation of the rooms, although not very recent, is still very current. The typical style of the countryside has been fully respected, from the original materials that have been recovered to the subdivision of the interior spaces. The attention to detail that can be appreciated inside the property is well visible even in outdoor spaces, in fact there are no visible aerial cables in order to give as little visual impact as possible. The technical spaces, although present, are well hidden from view by strategic plant bushes.
Potential for use
The perfect investment for those who love the countryside and want to dedicate themselves to hospitality. The perfect investment for those who want to escape the noise and confusion of the city and want to live in direct contact with nature.
